Rai'sann
Omsell, "the shrew", is made leader of the punks of the Mountains of Doubt,
the "Dross Clan". Dross are the impurities skimmed from the surface of
melted metal. They see themselves as the exception to the rule, relelling
that others see them as that which others cast out, as scum. Rai'sann could
be described in any of the following terms: spunky, a partier, loose, a
heavy smoker, a "spicer" (user and dealer), charismatic, enthusiastic,
philanderer, exotically beautiful, voluptuous, sensual, a flash dresser,
and young (for an elf). She is like a cat in a fight, using her magical
gloves, from which energy blades extend from the base of each knuckle,
giving her a +2 attack/damage. A command word activates them, which is
from ancient elven. The gloves are artifacts from the time before the great
winter, when the elven empire was much larger and more powerful. She may
alternately use a wicked-looking two-handed bastard sword, which she wields
expertly.
Rai'sann
is a female high elf, formerly of the upper crust of Caleray, a wealthy
town located to the south of Brin, the capital city of the elven Kirsch
empire. Caleray is known as a center of magical lore. Among the beautiful
marble buildings housing the seemingly endless tomes of the arcane
stands a tall structure of obsidian without visible doors. It is decorated
with gargoyles and statues of vampires and other creatures of the night.
A deep red penetrates the black natural glass at night, giving it an
otherworldly glow. Within the monument endless shelves of books documented
the forbidden knowledge of the land. In the 1300's the front door had
been sealed shut, the only visible opening to the square structure
a slot in the door, through which books and scrolls could be shoved
through. The former librarian was animated as a sort of intellegent
zombie to shelve the books and scrolls inserted through the front door.
