Grunburg is quick becoming the hub of racial and social integration in Asterland. If there is a place in the kingdom where as what one so formerly termed a "monster" can live in relative peace, Grunburg would be that place. That is not to say that there will be widespread acceptance as if that person was not "genetically challenged," but at least they won't be run out of town or killed.

The following list contains some of the races that have found a home in the increasingly politically correct Grunburg, along with a rating from 1 to 10 (10 being best) as to how able a person of that race will be able to interact socially without race being an issue.

To suit the many different tastes of the types of creatures that call Grunburg home, the stage was set for exploitation by the archemages, ever eager to meet the desires of their customers, for the right price, of course.

With the use of glassteel becoming more and more common, environmental domes could be built to suit the tastes of even the more odd tastes of all sorts of creatures. The wet tropical habitat of the Troglodyte (lizard man) is a prime example. The greenhouse effect is used to great effect here. A community of steaming mud makes the creatures very happy indeed after a tough day among the humans of the city and their likes for dry surroundings. It's not quite like home, but it goes a long way.

Rates for building custom domes ranges from twice as much as standard construction to five times as much, depending on whether an opening must be made to another plane to maintain a certain temperature/humidity level.
