Tradewinds

With the advent of air travel, despite its relative high cost, trade between far reaching places increased greatly. Where once it took months of hardship and danger to bring goods from the west to Asterland, riding the slipstream, the journey took a mere 3 days on the quicker airships. Even with a standard balloon, it took a mere week with stopovers each night.

One logistical problem to overcome is that the slipstream only flow one way. To circumnavigate the globe can take up to a month, again depending upon the craft that one flies. These do not pose a problem for those who can afford to use airjammers, but only the most lucrative trade lends itself to the use of these costly ships.
